Thursday night some 100 people joined together on the Brescia campus at a candlelight vigil to commemorate those who died over the past year due to domestic violence in the Commonwealth. Daviess Judge Executive Al Mattingly read the list of names as bells were rung, balloons released and candles lit. One in three American women will experience some kind of domestic abuse in their lifetimes; on average, 3 American women are killed by their male partners every day.
