A driver and his passenger were arrested early Friday morning after a chase in Owensboro. According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy was on patrol just after midnight when he observed a Lincoln Town Car, later determined to be driven by 30-yeawr-old Skiler Glover, fail to stop at the red light at 3rd and Frederica. The officer then tried to stop Glover, who kept driving and turned west onto 4th Street going the wrong way. Police say Glover nearly hit several vehicles on 4th who were traveling east on the one way street. Glover then turned onto Locust, and up to 2nd Street, where he continued west at a high rate of speed. Police say his vehicle became disabled at the railroad tracks, and he eventually stopped at Martin Way and Hummingbird Loop. The sheriff’s office was assisted by Owensboro police in arresting Glover along with his passenger, 47-year-old John Odle. Police say they also found a loaded handgun under the driver’s seat. Glover was charged with several offenses, including marijuana possession and wanton endangerment. Odle was charged with public intoxication.
