Indiana State Police are asking drivers to be extra cautious, after three cases of police impersonation around the state. The last incident happened near Lafayette. No cases have been reported recently in our immediate area. But State Police say it could happen in the future. If you do get pulled over by an unmarked car, police say the officer must be wearing a full uniform or it’s illegal. According to ISP Trooper Todd Ringle “Keep your windows up, keep your doors locked and if the person steps out of their vehicle and they’re not in uniform, call 911 and drive away.”
