There’s a major traffic alert in Henderson. State road crews say flooding has caused a huge spike in deer crossing US 41 near the twin bridges. Officers say at one time Tuesday they saw 30 deer standing by the highway. Flooding has made it impossible for deer to cross under the twin bridges, leaving them no choice but to cross over the heavily traveled US 41. Expect to see more deer near roadways near the river until floodwaters recede next week.
