Here is the latest information from our news/weather partners at 14NEWS: If the storms arrived a little bit later in the afternoon that would give us a bit better chance at seeing some severe weather, including damaging winds and few isolated tornadoes. With that being said it looks like the time of the main line of severe weather will be pushed back until close to sunset and that will provide the atmosphere with maximum time to heat up and destabilize. The main threat will continue to be damaging winds with an upper level jet producing winds as strong as 150-200 knots and a low level jet producing winds of 50-70 knots. What this means for us at the surface is that strong winds from the upper levels of the atmosphere could be transferred down to the surface, especially during strong and severe thunderstorms.
