Union officials and Alcoa’s Warrick operation have reached an agreement. According to media partner 14News, seniority will be a factor in which employees will be laid off and which ones will be transferred and kept. Union President David Willet says most of the junior workers will be laid off, but the agreement will allow long term employees to keep working with Alcoa. Around 100 of the 600 woprkers there will be moved to the other side of the plant and will be trained. Other employees who have been there at least two years will receive substantial severance packages.
