The Ohio County Clerk’s Office is expecting a high turnout Tuesday for the countywide wet/dry election that will determine if alcohol will be sold. The city of Beaver Dam previously voted to allow alcohol two months ago. According to the Messenger-Inquirer, the clerk’s office predicts around 35 percent turnout, based the Beaver Dam vote. Ohio County native Chase Vincent brought the two petitions to the public in February; one paper and one electronic. The Attorney General’s Office was called upon to advise about the electronic petition, and issued a statement authorizing the use of it along with the traditional petition.
