MANNY is an adorable guy that was found roaming around town as a stray. We highly suspect this sweet boy has been used as a bait dog in a dog fighting ring (this horrible crime does happen in Owensboro). He has a multitude of bites and scars all over his scrawny little body that are consistent with wounds found on bait dogs. He has puncture wounds on his head, legs, and hips, a very large hematoma in his left ear, and his spine sticks out from his little body being so thin. Despite everything this poor guy has been through, he still has such a beautiful, happy spirit about him and very much loves being around people. His whole face lights up when he sees someone coming, and his tail wags nonstop. All he wants to do is get out, have some fun, and enjoy everything life has to offer. Manny loves treats and does THE cutest little prance on his front feet when he is sitting and patiently waiting for the treat. He just gets so excited that he can hardly sit still! Manny weighed 50 pounds upon intake (but is thin), and although he has not officially been tested with other dogs, he doesnt seem reactive to them when he walks past their kennels. If you are interested in adopting him, please go ahead and submit an application and they can get him tested with others as soon as you are approved.
