Two people have been arrested on various drug charges. According to the Owensboro Police Department, on Monday at approximately 4:20 p.m. members of the OPD’s Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at 1536 W. 3rd Street. The warrant was a result of an ongoing investigation into a drug trafficking operation. As a result of the search, Detectives seized marijuana, cocaine, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, a handgun, and $1,978.00 in cash from the residence. One male identified as Alex R. Sanders, was present and taken into custody. A short time later, officers located Corey T. Wilford during a traffic stop and arrested him in connection to the case as well. Sanders and Wilford are currently lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center on the below charges.
