The Daviess County Public Schools district is once again participating in the federally funded Summer Feeding Program, providing quality meals to children even when school is not in session.
DCPS food services staff members meet at 6 a.m. every weekday in the cafeteria at Daviess County High School, 4255 New Hartford Road, to begin preparing 300 breakfasts, 1,800 lunches and 1,500 snacks to be delivered to 45 sites around the county. The free meals are available to anyone age 18 and younger.
A copy of the June menu is attached to this press release. Sample meals include pork chop sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, chicken wraps and General Tso chicken with rice. A complete list of serving locations and times is posted on the district website at www.dcps.org
