HENDERSON, KY. (August 29, 2017) – On August 29th, 2017, the Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic stop on Cumnock Street in the city limits of Henderson. Throughout the course of the traffic stop, it was determined that the driver, Chad E. Bolin of Owensboro, KY, was under the influence of Methamphetamine. After being placed under arrest, the Troopers utilized the Henderson Police Department K-9 to conduct a search of the vehicle Bolin was driving. Troopers then discovered methamphetamine inside the vehicle along with a loaded firearm underneath the drivers’ seat. Bolin was then taken to the Henderson County Detention Center and booked on these charges: (1) No registration receipt, (2) No registration plates, (3) Failure to produce insurance card, (4) Failure of owner to maintain required insurance, (5) Failure to wear seat belts, (6) Operating on a suspended license, (7) Operating a motor vehicle under the influence, (8) Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine), (9) Careless Driving, (10) Drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, (11) Possession of firearm by convicted felon, (12) Carrying a concealed weapon. Bolin was also served with four warrants for his arrest.
