Hartford, KY. (September 18, 2017) – The Kentucky State Police conducted a pre-approved traffic safety check point. Nicholas Rummage, age 43 of Whitesville, KY, came through the traffic safety check point and threw a pipe containing suspected marijuana out of his window. Through further investigation it was determined that he was operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Rummage was arrested and charged with DUI 4th Offense ( Felony ), Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of Synthetic Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container. He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
The Kentucky State Police was assisted on the traffic safety checkpoint by the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office.
