Today, Doug Hoyt has announced his intent to run for Daviess County Commissioner in the East District.
He released the following statement:
“Our county is a great place to live, work and raise a family. My wife Brenda and I have raised our two children and now have the privilege of watching our four grandchildren grow up here. I believe strongly that it is important for each of us to give back to our community in ways that we are qualified. I am confident that my education, background and conservative principles have prepared me to serve the people of Daviess County as your County Commissioner.
There are many issues that affect us every day, but in different ways; public safety, jobs and economic growth, drainage and responsible government and many others. As County Commissioner, I am committed to working hard every day, putting in the time and research necessary to make sound decisions on the issues we face today and those that will affect us for years to come. I pledge to be accessible to all, and to listen to and understand the needs of all citizens of our county. I am committed to ensuring a prosperous future for our children, grandchildren and future generations.
Strong leadership will result in progress for our community. I want to be your voice on fiscal court. Together we can create and ensure a prosperous future for OUR county.”
