Owensboro, KY (October 20, 2017) – There are some students who set the bar. They work harder, show more passion and lead by example—in the classroom, on the field and within the community. Today, Wendy’s High School Heisman recognizes Blake Boswell Daviess County High School and their dedication to never cutting corners by naming them School Winners.
“These students are known by their teachers and friends for their commitment to excellence. We are excited and honored that a program like Wendy’s High School Heisman is also recognizing their hard work,” said Matt Mason, Daviess County High School Principal.
Blake Boswell is a senior at DCHS, where he is a member of the boys’ basketball team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Young Life. Honors and awards he has received include being named to the 3rd Region All-Tournament Team 2017, Messenger-Inquirer 2016-2017 2nd Team All Region and LaRue County All-Tournament Team 2016.
Blake said he is honored to represent DCHS as a Wendy’s High School Heisman recipient. “The award shows the connection between education and sports and its value,” he said.
Blake, son of Brandon and Susan Boswell, plans to continue his education at the collegiate level. He is undecided about a college but is considering a major in business.
