Owensboro, Ky. (Oct. 28, 2017) – The Kentucky Wesleyan College Theatre Program will present “The Heidi Chronicles” on Nov. 9 – 12 in the Hager Performance Hall at the Ralph Arts Center at
S. Griffith Ave. and College Drive on campus. The performances are at 7:30 p.m. on the 9th, 10th and 11th and at 2 p.m. on the 12th. The play, written by Wendy Wasserstein, won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1989. It follows Heidi Holland as she navigates what it means to be a women through the 1960s, 70s and 80s. The forces of career, love, motherhood and ambition pull against her. What is fair? Does a woman need a man? Are there any men worth having? What is worth the sacrifice? The play contains mature language.
“The Heidi Chronicles” is directed by Nate Gross, assistant professor of theatre at Wesleyan. He earned a master of fine arts from the University of Arizona and a bachelor of arts from California State University at Northridge.
