The Spencer County Tourism Commission has announced that $5,000 in grants is available to tourism-related not-for-profit groups again for 2018. At the end of April, the commission plans to award grants to qualified organizations, events, or tourism-related entities promoting tourism in Spencer County, Indiana. The event or project for which the grant funding is requested must increase visitor attendance from outside the immediate area. According to Visitors Bureau Executive Director Melissa Brockman, this is the fourth year the Tourism Commission has offered these grants. The Spencer County Visitors Bureau is the office of the Spencer County Tourism Commission. Visitors Bureau staff are available to educate local organizations and tourism-related entities about the grant program. To request an application or for more information, call the Visitors Bureau at (812) 937-4199.
