Owensboro has been Jennifer Hardesty Besecker’s home since birth. Growing up, she spent her youth at the family’s kitchen table listening to her dad, Pat Hardesty, the Circuit Court Clerk back in the 1990s, talk about how to provide the best work product to taxpayers.
After graduating from Owensboro Catholic High in 1996, she started working for Daviess County Circuit Court, following in her dad’s footsteps in a career devoted to bettering this community. With 21 years’ experience at the Judicial Center, she knows how this office and its staff can best cut costs and still provide a better constituency service.
Mrs. Besecker said, “Taxpayers deserve the next Circuit Court Clerk to focus on cutting expenses any way possible, especially considering Owensboro’s current financial challenges. With lifelong experience centered around this office and my devotion to helping others, I believe I’m the right person to improve the agency in ways to provide better assistance at a lower cost to the taxpayers.”
She continued: “I’ve always taken pride in my job and do the best work possible. A favorite saying my dad had was ‘Good. Better. Best. Never let it rest, until the good is better and the better is best.’ This still resonates with me today! If elected, I’ll work hard to make the Circuit Court Clerk’s office the best possible.”
Jennifer is a wife to Chris, a mom to three boys, and caregiver to her dad, who has Alzheimer’s disease. Service to God, family, and community is the cornerstone of who Jennifer is. She proudly proclaims, “My family attends Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where we’ve found the love, grace, and mercy of Jesus! My faith is the very center of all that I do. I’m excited to meet voters and explain how I’ll bring that same devotion to improving the court’s service to its constituents. I want my experience to work for YOU!”
