Public health managers in Louisville are not yet requiring hepatitis A shots for all food workers. The Louisville Metro Public Health Department yesterday said it is holding off on a vaccine mandate because no one has gotten sick from the food that they ate. The health department says two more restaurants in Louisville were linked to the hepatitis outbreak that is criss-crossing Kentucky. So far, more than 350 people in the state have been diagnosed with hepatitis A.
