Water problems in Owensboro could go away with some plans OMU will present to the City Commission.
Those plans include closing Plant A, which is 115 years old, and the location of the last 2 major breaks.
The proposal means updating the Cavin plant at a cost of $48 million to tax payers.
OMU plans to present the ideas to its commission in the following weeks and then the Owensboro city commission will have to approve it too. OMU told 14 news they hope to get started on the bidding process this fall.
