Wendell Foster, a local agency serving people with disabilities, is hosting a lunch to honor local first responders in Owensboro and Daviess County. Police Officers, Sheriff’s Department, Fire Fighters, and EMTs are all invited to a cookout at Wendell Foster’s Sensory Park on Thursday, July 19 from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Come enjoy a free lunch, yard games, and get to know the people supported by Wendell Foster. If unable to attend, box lunches are included.
Wendell Foster residents would feel more comfortable if they were able to build a relationship with the local first responders, says Eric Scharf, CEO at Wendell Foster. The goal of this lunch is to create a fun environment so we can enjoy one another’s company. Wendell Foster is looking forward to honoring the men and women serving our local communities with lunch, games and fellowship. If an emergency were to occur both parties would have the knowledge needed to work together.
RSVP is not required to attend.
