A disease that has affected numerous family members and loved ones close to the staff here at Cromwell Radio Group is Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s is a relentless disease that takes a persons life away. I witnessed this first hand with my grandmother. It started with her forgetting names, how to cook her favorite dishes and daily tasks like brushing her teeth. As her disease worsened, she lost her speech and ability to care for her which was when my mom stepped in to be her personal care giver.
I, along with the rest of my co-workers at Cromwell Radio Group, will be walking to end Alzheimer’s Saturday August 25th in Owensboro at Smother’s Park. The ceremony will begin at 9:45 a.m. August 25th with the walk taking off at 10. Register for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and donate to the cause at alz.org/walk. Together, let’s take the first step towards a world without Alzheimer’s.
