What costs 152-thousand-dollars per pound, and can be found at the Kentucky State Fair? Managers say the state’s Grand Champion Ham sold for two-point-eight million-dollars yesterday. Central Bank and Dr. Mark Lynn each paid about a million-and-a-half dollars for the ham. Luther Deaton with Central Bank told the Courier-Journal yesterday that they’ve made a tradition out of eating the ham on Christmas day. This is the third year in a row that Central Bank has walked away with the champion ham from the fair.
