Kentucky’s health department wants residents to quit smoking. That’s why they’re investing in a new campaign for Quit Now Kentucky, featuring broadcast and digital advertisements as well as community engagement initiatives. Department of Health Commissioner Jeffery Howard says it can be difficult to quit smoking, but the Quit Now Kentucky services make it easier. In addition to a smoking cessation hotline, smokers can now text to connect with the quit line. Kentucky has the second highest rate of smoking in the country.
