Nearly 97-hundred children are in foster care in Kentucky. State officials say there aren’t enough foster homes to keep up with the rising need, especially for children entering adolescence. A recruiter with New Beginnings Family Services says it’s hard for them to place teenagers because foster parents are afraid they will have behavioral issues. Most children in KentucKY’s foster care system are ages 6-to 18-years-old.
