Kentucky’s governor is appealing the tax value of his suburban Louisville home. Published reports say Governor Bevin has asked the Kentucky Claims Commission to lower the tax value on his home. Earlier this year, Jefferson County officials set the value at nearly three-million dollars, which was then reduced to two-million by an appeals board. Bevin says the home is worth nearly one-and-a-half million. He bought the home for one-million, 600-thousand in 2017 from a friend and campaign donor.
