Deputies of the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department took a report of a counterfeit $100 bill that was used at the Even Stevens on highway 81 near Owensboro.
A detective with Owensboro Police Department was working two cases of counterfeit money in the city of Owensboro.
The investigation lead deputies to 31-year-old Courtney Daughtery of Owensboro. She was located at Wingfield Inn on West Parrish Avenue. She was located with Allen Worden. Both were arrest on October 25th for criminal procession of a forged instrument 1st degree and taken to Daviess County Detention Center.
While police searched Daughtery’s vehicle, they found a computer, printer, drug paraphernalia, and $2,790 in counterfeit U.S. currency.
Other equipment used to manufacturing of counterfeit money was also found with the money.
Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and OPD are working with the Secret Service on the case for assistance on prosecution.
