Owensboro voters have spoken – two new city commissioners were elected last night. Larry Maglinger took 14.9 percent of the vote while Pam Smith-Wright trailed at 13.6 percent. Larry Conder and Jeff Sanford round out the 4, Conder getting 231 more votes than Sanford who finished fourth. Jeff Sanford beat Jay Velotta by 387 votes.
U.S. Representative 2nd District Republican Brett Guthrie stays in his seat with 61 percent of voters chiming in – Matt Castlen won over Bob Glenn for the 8th district state senate seat 58 to 41 percent, Republican Suzanne Miles stays in her 7th district state representative seat over Joy Gray, 60% to 39%. The biggest talk of the town goes to Jim Glenn who gets his State Representative 13th district seat back – Glenn beat DJ Johnson by one vote.
Daviess County Clerk goes to Leslie McCarty who won against Richard House 52 to 47 percent, Art Maglinger remains your jailer, receiving 63 percent of the vote.
In Indiana, Mike Braun wins the state Senator seat over Joe Donnelly 53 to 43 percent.
