A hit and run incident was reported by the Owensboro Police Department.
At approximately 8:32pm, on Thursday evening, the Owensboro Police Department was dispatched to a traffic collision with injuries at the intersection of W 12th Street and Werner Avenue. Once on scene, officers learned that a 9 year old male riding a bicycle was struck by an unidentified silver or white pickup truck that fled the scene.
The juvenile was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment and has since been transported to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY for advanced medical treatment.
