An Owensboro man is in jail after a short chase with the Daviess County Sheriff’s office. According to DCSO, a traffic stop on West Parrish Avenue for a suspected drunk driver resulted in a brief chase after the driver took off.
Reports from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office state the vehicle stopped on the corner of West Fourth Street and Plum Street as the driver attempted to flee on foot.
Daviess County Sherriff’s deputies were able to catch up to the suspect identified as Roger Douglas of Owensboro. Douglas is currently lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center charged with Driving Under the Influence among other charges.
