Christmas in July this week at Friday After 5!
Our Christmas in July Countdown has begun, and visions of sugar plums are dancing in our heads! Are you ready for a night of great music, Santa Claus and the stuff dreams are made of? Another big weekend is in store for week #9 at Friday After 5 and you can celebrate with us!
- The night starts at 5PM with the Kroger Street Fair along Veterans Blvd with amazing Food Trucks and vendors many with special Christmas in July offers.
- Our Mile of Music schedule includes Haleigh Martin on the ATMOS Courtyard stage at 5pm.
- From 5:30 – 7:30, join Santa Claus with his cheeks like roses and Buddy the ELF at Christmas Plaza (McConnell Plaza) straight from the North Pole, with treats, fun, pictures, crafts and even a fun crazy costume contest where you can win prizes! And don’t forget our dancing elves! All brought to you by Paramount Staffing.
- At 6:30 the Jagoe Homes Patio Stage and German American Bank will host a great dance and party band RADIOTRONIC. Bring the memories of the 70’s, 80’s and NOW and get your holiday party on!
- A special Toast to the Sunset will take place at 8PM as dancers from Owensboro Dance Theatre perform a few special Nutcracker dances and then German American Bank lifts their glasses for the Christmas in July Toast to the Sunset! Radiotronic will take the stage again to continue to provide all a good night.
- From 6-9:30, the Holiday Inn Riverfront Live stage presents Scott Mason and Dueling Guitars.
- The Romain Subaru Overlook stage has ‘Fire & Ice’ making music from 7-9pm.
- Lure Seafood and Grille will have a special Christmas drink and the music of Fat Box
- AND get ready for the musical entertainment of Glastone on the Ruoff Party Stage!
- If you are ready for some Corn Hole Tournament fun and to sit back and laugh at the best Christmas film ever…ELF – thanks to Academy Sports, join us over at the Blue Grass Museum Backyard Movies and festivities with Spirits from Mile Wide Brewery and Green River Distillery from 6:30-10
Week #9 of the Friday After 5, Mile of Music, 25th Anniversary Celebration continues along the beautiful Ohio Riverfront, along Veterans Blvd, from Daviess down to the Holiday Inn.
With 2nd Street closed for the evening, in addition to parking along the streets, you can still access the Parking Structure on Daviess Street with a nominal $5 parking fee and the beautiful new Parking Structure on Locust Street with the first 2 hours free and a nominal fee of up to $6 to easily park in one of the 400 structure parking spaces.
Friday After 5 began in 1997 with four concerts and grew into a 16-week signature riverfront festival for the entire tri-state area hosting more than 70,000 visitors each season. As Friday After 5 continues to celebrate its 25th Anniversary, they continue to bring a variety of entertainment to the Owensboro Downtown Riverfront
